Who can view my report?
The general public does not have access to NPDB information and cannot view your report. However, registered health care organizations that meet federal requirements may query the NPDB to receive report information on health care professionals. Registered health care organizations are only permitted to query the NPDB for specific reasons, such as:
- Privileging or employment
- Professional review
- Mandatory two-year review (for use by hospitals)
- Licensing
- Fraud and abuse investigation
- Certification to participate in a government program
Health care practitioners and organizations may request their report information from the NPDB by ordering a Self-Query.
