Record Type and Profession Group Selections

Record Type (RECTYPE) is the form of report submitted to the NPDB. Select the record types to include in your file.

All: Includes all RECTYPEs: A, C, M, and P
Adverse Action Report (AAR): Only RECTYPEs A and C are included
Medical Malpractice Payment Report (MMPR): Only RECTYPEs M and P are included

Selecting a Profession Group

The Profession Group selection determines the records with specified License Field (LICNFELD) codes to include in your file.

All: Includes all LICNFELDs
Physician: Only records with LICNFELDs in the Physician Group (10, 15, 20, 25) are included
Dentist: Only records with LICNFELDs in the Dentist Group (30, 35) are included
Nurse: Only records with LICNFELDs in the Nurse Group (100, 110, 120, 130, 134, 135, 140, 141, 142) are included
Other: Only records with LICNFELDs that are not in the Physician, Dentist, or Nurse groups are included
