The National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), administered by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), offers SMS (text message) notifications to users who choose to receive them. By opting in to receive SMS messages from the NPDB, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Key Terms & Conditions

  • Program Description: NPDB text messages provide users with informational messages related to their NPDB account and services.
  • Voluntary Consent: By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from the NPDB. You confirm that you own or are authorized to use the phone number you provide.
  • Message and Data Rates: The NPDB does not charge users to receive SMS messages. However, message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Please contact your wireless provider for information regarding your messaging and data charges.
  • Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on account activity (e.g., query submissions, report updates), notification preferences, and interactions with NPDB services.
  • Delivery Liability: Message delivery depends on your wireless carrier and network conditions. NPDB or HRSA cannot guarantee messages will always be delivered on time without delay, interruption, or error.
  • User Responsibilities: You are responsible for providing and maintaining an accurate mobile phone number. The NPDB is not responsible for messages sent to an incorrect or reassigned phone number due to inaccurate information provided by the user.
  • Privacy: The NPDB respects your privacy and will use your mobile phone number only for purposes related to the SMS program and the administration of NPDB services.   • Changes to Terms and Conditions: The NPDB may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We'll post updates on the NPDB website and will become effective upon posting. If you keep using the SMS service after an update, you agree to the new Terms and Conditions.
